External Vehicle Inspection

  • Inspect all exterior lights (headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals, hazard lights).
  • Check all tires for proper inflation, tread depth, and visible damage or wear.
  • Examine body panels for damage, dents, or sharp edges that could pose safety risks.
  • Verify mirrors are clean, properly adjusted, and securely mounted.
  • Check windshield and windows for cracks, chips, or obstructions.
  • Inspect door operation, seals, and emergency release mechanisms.

Engine Compartment & Fluids

Driver Controls & Instruments

  • Test brake pedal feel and travel - should be firm with no excessive travel.
  • Check steering wheel play and alignment when centered.
  • Verify all dashboard warning lights illuminate during start-up sequence.
  • Test horn, turn signals, hazard lights, and windshield wipers.
  • Check air pressure gauges read within acceptable ranges.
  • Test parking brake engagement and release.

Brake System Inspection

Documentation & Final Checks
