Interior and step well lighting operational

Tires and Wheels

All tires properly inflated to manufacturer specifications

Adequate tread depth on all tires (minimum 4/32")

No visible damage, cuts, or embedded objects in tires

All lug nuts tight and none missing

Body and Glass

Windshield free of cracks or damage in driver's vision area

All mirrors clean, properly adjusted, and securely mounted

No damage to body panels that could pose safety hazards

Engine & Fluid Checks

Engine Fluids

Engine oil level between MIN and MAX marks

Coolant level adequate and no leaks visible

Brake fluid level satisfactory and clear appearance

Power steering fluid level within range

Engine Components

Belts and hoses in good condition - no cracks or fraying

No visible fluid leaks under vehicle

Fuel level adequate for planned route

Interior Safety & Equipment

Passenger Area

All passenger seats secure and in good condition

Aisles and exits clear of obstructions

Emergency exits operational and properly marked

Interior lighting functional throughout vehicle

Safety Equipment

Fire extinguisher present, charged, and accessible

First aid kit complete and current

Emergency reflectors/triangles available

Driver Controls & Instruments

Vehicle Controls

Steering wheel free play within acceptable limits

Service brake pedal firm with proper travel

Parking brake engages and releases properly

Horn, windshield wipers, and washers operational

Dashboard & Instruments

All warning lights function during startup sequence

Air pressure gauges reading normal range (120-140 PSI)

Engine temperature, oil pressure gauges normal

Air system builds pressure to proper PSI (typically 120-140)

Low air pressure warning devices function properly

Air brake application and release smooth and even

No visible air leaks from brake lines or components
